Edinburgh Rotaract helps with the Edinburgh Kiltwalk

Bedraggled Kiltwalk marshal from Edinburgh RotaractOn the 11th May Edinburgh Rotaract help keep the 2,200 Kiltwalkers stay on the right path as they walked the 26 mile route around Edinburgh, raising money for various childrens charities, including Aberlour, Children First, CHAS and many more.

Four of us were happy to help out, marshaling at various points along the route, offering encouragement and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Luckily the rain stayed off for most of the day, but here’s a terrible picture of a rather bedraggled one of us sheltering from a brief shower.

What’s more, at least 4 of us have signed up to take part in the Speyside Kiltwalk in September! This will be a bit more challenging than just standing watching, but we’re all looking forward to it!

We’ll be taking sponsorship for the various childrens charities, so if you’d like to support us watch this space for detail on how you can help out 🙂
