Spookathon

This Saturday night, four of us got dressed up ready for our evening out but we weren’t in our usual weekend glad rags and we weren’t off for a normal night out. We were sporting our pjs and onesies and were off to spend the night in the allegedly haunted Mary Kings Close (2 days after Halloween)!

The Spookathon was organised by When You Wish Upon A Star and participants were fundraising to support the charity’s annual event that allows sick children and their families to travel to Lapland to meet Father Christmas.

We were given a tour of the close and told about its history including the haunting legends! After hot chocolate and cookies it was story time – ghost story time! There were a fair few squeals and frights before we settled down to sleep although like any good sleep over, there was talking until the early hours!

It was wonderful to be part of this unique event and to help this lovely charity.

Our sponsorship page is still open at http://www.justgiving.com/Edinburgh-Rotaract and we’d appreciate any support.
